The best beekeeper is the best manager. Several kinds of management are important to beekeepers, including that associated with colony maintenance and financial issues. A major task of beekeepers is to manage their time. This is perhaps the most limiting factor in beekeeping. There is always more to do than time to do it.
General issues include detecting and controlling diseases and pests of honey bees, feeding colonies, moving hives and maintaining equipment.
